UptoLog Servers for Testing

You can try out UptoLog by logging to the online UptoLog Log Server for testing. The logs can subsequently be seen through the online UptoLog Search Server for testing. Where you can try the search options in UptoLog Search Server and view how the logs are visualized.

The .NET test application

You can generate logs with the .NET example application. This application consists of a C# Windows application (SomeWindowApplication) that calls a C# web service (SomeWebService).

Generate error: When the web service is called an exception is thrown. Both the Windows application and the web service log the error as a fatal error.
Generate time measurement: When the web service is called it makes time measurement of the call and the internal time usage of the webservice. The Windows application makes time measurement of the total time usage also including the time usage of the call to the web service and internal handling of data.

If you would like to test the example, the test application can be downloaded here. The test application is .NET 3.5 application and it is located in a Visual Studio 2008 solution that also contains other examples.

The UptoLog Log Server for testing url http://logservertest.uptolog.com/ is configured into the exampel application. If you want the test application to log in your own UptoLog Log Server the UptoLog Log Server URL in all config files must be changed to point at your own server.
